Emergency Donations Collection
As you know, a catastrophic typhoon recently struck Tacloban City, Philippines with terrifying ferocity. Typhoon Haiyan appears to be the deadliest natural disaster on record in the Philippines estimating its death toll as high as 10,000 people, over 480,000 displaced, thousands of homes destroyed, and a severe shortage in basic human supplies. Magina Fernandez, who suffered first hand loss from the typhoon, expressed major concern to the country's president "We need to get the word out because the Philippines government can't do this alone."
And alone they are not. TroopTreats is calling on its volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of the American aid troops and the people devastated by this ravaging natural disaster. An Emergency Donations Collection is in motion to gather and ship the following items:

A Message to our Wonderful Volunteers!
TroopTreats would like to thank our volunteers who recently participated or contributed to our National Make a Difference Day events taking place in Braddock District and Providence District. These events could not have been a success without the help of you and the many other volunteers who donated their time. Thank you for your willingness to serve our deployed military personnel. We really enjoyed the opportunity of working with you and the process of making a difference in the lives of the men and women serving our country.
Your efforts resulted in 5,000 care packages and 6,500 'thank you' note cards shipped to several bases in Afghanistan!
As you know, the men and women receiving these care packages realize the benefits of our work. On their behalf, thank you for your work. In a continuing effort, we will be collecting donations for our Operation Santa's Little Helpers. From now until December 5, we will be accepting the following items:
Hand-written holiday cards - small toys (ex. yo-yo's, playing cards, small slinkies, and more) - coffee packs - first aid kits - sewing kits.
The success of these events is clear evidence of your outstanding volunteer work. Please visit our Facebook Page, click "Like", to show your support and view the pictures taken at the events. What we accomplished is remarkable and our recipients will see the people involved in making this contribution possible.
Special thanks to our main sponsors, Macerich and the Fratkin Broussard Team at Morgan Stanley.
